PLOT PROMPT! [Tue Sep 2009 @ 4:53pm] zooing PLOT PROMPT! Escape of the Guenon! Today (15th September) at about 7am, during the morning keeper checks, one of the Guenons was caught escaping from a hole in the top of the enclosure! The other was also missing, with the conclusion that the cheeky monkies have been working on the hole for a while now, which is normally covered by tree - hence the keepers not noticing. As a result, it's all hands on deck, especially for the keepers. The primate, marsupial, hooved mammal, large reptile and big cats keepers have all been sent on search missions around the surrounding area of the zoo, and the rest of the keepers are searching within the zoo grounds - aside from tending to essential animal care duties, they've been told that their number one priority is to find the two Guenons. The office and retail workers are also being encouraged (read: begged) to help look for the Guenons instead of their regular work in the former case and during their breaks in the latter case. One of the Guenons will be found at 3.30PM up a tree about 1/2 a mile away from the zoo, and the second will be found at 8PM in the picnic area of the zoo. Have fun with annoying patrons and locals thinking they've spotted the monkey, local press wanting a report on the action, and lots of close misses: coming within arms reach only for it to scamper off again = VERY annoying! Most of the zoo workers will be staying late tonight to join the hunt for the last monkey and to fulfill any duties they didn't manage to complete during the day - they don't have to, since it's not being paid overtime, but it's strongly advisable if they want to stay in the boss' good books! post comment

[Thu Sep 2009 @ 9:48pm] andrewfoley Hey everyone! I'm Shar and this is my boy Andrew! But he'll only ever go by Drew. Drew's a full time keeper for the large reptiles! He's charming, bright, funny, a regular prankster, and a little on the naive side too (he has a hard time seeing fault in anyone). Most of your pups may just know him as the guy who brings enough donuts for everyone every Thursday morning! There's quite a bit more info on him in his journal! I've worked out lines with a few of you but I know I lost a couple posts (jeez that comm MOVES) and I'm more than happy to work them out here where the post wont hide, or on AIM!
